MY STORY STARTED LONG AGO

My Mother has always been a creative influence in my life.  Since childhood, I have been making unique and one-of-a-kind jewellery using traditional and non-traditional materials.  My studio is my therapeutic place where I  regularly, design, create, photograph, and list items in my 'It's Vera' e-commerce shops.

After almost 20 years of teaching Visual Arts to middle school students and participating in the craft show circuit with my smoke fired shard pottery, I'm returning to my jewellery making passion. I up graded my silver-smithing skills by attending The Breston Academy in Scheveningen in the Netherlands, Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario and Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

My signature jewellery are crochet rings and knitting rings that I designed more than a decade ago and now custom make for lovers of crochet and knitting.

2010 was my first introduction to selling my jewellery on line in an Etsy shop called ItsVera.

I recently launched my own website ItsVera.com, separate from my ItsVera shop on the Etsy platform, but just as easy to navigate and purchase items. In this online store you will find all my classic knitting and crocheting rings, along with many other items not found in my Etsy shop. I will continue to design and handcraft more unique pieces to add to this new shop.

So, please take a look, inside my shop and I hope you return frequently for unique handcrafted gifts for yourself and those on your gift giving list.
